1 head of broccoli
1 cup of water
Chop off stalks of broccoli and discard. Slice the broccoli head into smaller crowns or pieces. Heat water in a stock pot until boiling. Add broccoli. Cook for 3 minutes and remove with a slotted spoon or drain in a colander.
Tip: You can remove one piece with slotted spoon to test for doneness before draining – if you like it more soft or mushy cook it a little longer
Drink the water that you steamed it in, it is super alkaline and healthy!
